Curently there is only one option to install Office Add-Ins from Webcon Portal - use Internet Explorer. As we know IE is realy old web browser and Microsoft is going to finish support for this browser at 21th of August 2021. We should add support for this feature for modern web browsers.
Dear WebCon Team, we most urgently need the possibility to have further authentication methods using OAuth 2.0 / OpenID in the context of REST - Web Service. At the moment the limitation does us not allow to communicate with other systems in the way of microservices. This extension would be a great increase of data communication. When adding or updating elements via Rest Api, for picker fields it is required to provide Id and name. Quite often the name is known, but not the id. As picker fields are usually based on datasources, it would by great, when the api would be extended with methods to query datasources. WEBCON BPS reporting offers great functionality for sorting, filtering. It would great having the option to implement and configure a SDK extension for reports, which would allow to execute an action based on the current selection. In my case the SDK extension would receive the selected rows with all fields and generate an advanced Pdf report. Quick Manual should be entry point, to see quick manual right now user must enter form to start process first. The order shall be the other way: first read manual, later start process.
Hi, no idea about the future plans for the portal, but you should definitely consider adding some more functions, like: - user defined left menu - pages, not just dashboards - option to turn off the default dashboard - dashboard HTML element should have some kind of HTML editor, not just a narrow window for code pasting. Can you please add an option to encrypt fields, and user configure who can decrypt ? Why ? Becouse, in some business appliactions, administrators not always should be able to see some confidential information send in BPS forms. Senders should decide.
In new versions o WebCon BPS using Word templates are now using GUID identifier witch enables using it's in all environments. But the functionality o Word templates are very simple. It's now enough flexible for control conditions for hide, show etc. information's. For example: You can not show header of table, but empty row is always. In HTML you can control this. Whenever I create a new step in the designer studio, I need to add a path too. The only steps which don't need at least one path are the final paths, which may have already been created by the wizard. So it would save a little bit of time for everyone if there would already be a path. :) Daniel
Hi, once upon a time (version) there had been an option to migrate user accounts. This had been build in to the Designer Studio and there was also a stored procedure. It would really be great if the this functionality could be restored. While we have access to old database where the stored procedure still exists, new customers don't have this option. For performance reasons, it would be very useful to allow the configuration of the search mode per source data column in pickers. This would enable more efficient searching by letting users explicitly define the most appropriate search mode for each column, leading to faster data retrieval and an overall better experience. Hi, it would be really amazing if one could choose the credentials that have been used for "Active Directory Actions Configuration" in System Settings in the configuration of a "Run a PowerShell script" action. It's a mess having to copy & paste the same credentials every time. And if one day the password needs to be changed all action configurations have to be found and updated. Currently, since version X of Webcon when you add 4 or more attachments, all categories collapse with attachments. Suggestion to add a collapse configuration that you could set in the workflow/process from how many attachments you want the attachment category sections to collapse or default everything expanded. What do you think WEBCON community?
Hi, because of compliance reasons it is not allowed without approvals to enable AI functions in our company. After installation of R2 the new AI assistant is available in Designer Desk and there seems to be no way to disable it with a switch in system settings globally or per user individually. This would be nice if this functionality would be given in a next release. Setting it individually per user would be great because different user groups could be defined. Hi, it would be awesome if you could integrate an AI assistant in Designer Studio (Web) that uses all information of docs, community, knowledge base and so on to help developers for doing things in Designer Studio. Maybe you could also give the option to add custom sources as https://daniels-notes.de/ and other blogs/sources.
